Concerning raising taxes…..
“Government is like a baby. An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.” Ronald Reagan.
Here’s what Pirkei Avot says about government:
“Love work; hate domination; and seek not undue intimacy with the government.
Beware of rulers, for they befriend someone only for their own benefit; they act friendly when it benefits them, but do not stand by someone in his time of need.
Let the property of your fellow man be as dear to you as your own.”
Let’s not raise taxes…on ANYONE. Rich or poor. Let the bureaucrats learn to cut up a credit card or two. It’s our money, sure we all want more of it, but it’s still our money—not Washington’s.
It’s simple, really it is.
